The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Party Committee hosted a gathering on January 17 at the Chinese Museum of Women and Children to mark the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on the first day of the first month in Chinese lunar calendar, January 23, this year.

Chen Zhili, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and president of the ACWF, and officials from affiliated ACWF organisations and institutes gathered at the museum.

Chen reviewed the major works of the ACWF in 2011 in her speech and expressed her thanks to everyone present at the meeting and all the ACWF staff for their contributions.

The year of 2012 is the Chinese Year of the Dragon. President Chen and the ACWF Secretariat leaders presented gifts to all who attended the meeting and who were born in the Dragon Year, with festival greetings and good wishes.

Vice President and First Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF Song Xiuyan presided over the gathering, which played the latest movie Dear Enemy to mark China's upcoming traditional festival.
