The delegation visited ACWF's headquarters in Beijing. Lu Yamin, Deputy Director-General of ACWF's International Liaison Department, outlined ACWF's contributions in representing women, safeguarding women's rights, promoting gender equality and leading 650 million Chinese women in supporting China's economic and social construction.

Zhu talked about the differences in women's development between Africa and China. On behalf of her association, Zhu said she hoped to learn China's effective measures for boosting African countries' economic and social development.

During their stay in Beijing, the delegates met officials from the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification, and visited China National Children's Center and China National Museum of Women and Children.

The delegation began its visit in Hainan Province on December 25.
